Σήμερα γιορτάζουμε μια νέα γιορτή την Galentine’s Day, η οποία αρχίζει εδώ και λίγα χρόνια να καθιερώνεται ως η απάντηση στην ημέρα του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου, γι’ αυτό και γιορτάζεται την παραμονή του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου, δηλαδή την 13η Φεβρουαρίου. Αυτή η γιορτή έχει να κάνει με την γυναικεία φιλία, γιορτάζουμε λοιπόν όλες τις γυναίκες της ζωής μας. Η γιορτή αυτή “δημιουργήθηκε” από τους σεναριογράφους της αμερικάνικης σειράς “Parks and Recreation” και ξαφνικά ότι ξεκίνησε ως μέρος σεναρίου άρχισε σιγά σιγά να παίρνει σάρκα και οστά και να καθιερώνεται ως η γιορτή της γυναικείας φιλίας.
Today we celebrate Galentine’s Day. In case you hadn’t heard, Galentine’s Day is the new Valentine’s Day. Celebrated the day before on February 13, this holiday is all about female friendships and celebrating those special friends you have in your life. The idea of Galentine’s Day was first dreamed up on American sitcom Parks and Recreation and suddenly, what started as a sitcom joke became a powerful buzzword that swept the internet and united women all over the world.
In the series, Leslie Knope defines Galentine’s Day as “the best day of the year” – the day when she and her friends leave their husbands and boyfriends at home to celebrate “lady love” over a boozy brunch. The best thing about this celebration is that it’s not quite the anti-Valentine’s Day (no bitter tears here), it’s a happy holiday all about appreciating females and friendships. That’s why it falls the day before February 14th. Because boys come and go, but friends are forever.
So whether you’ll be doing it as a singleton or you’re lucky enough to celebrate both, make sure you appreciate your besties this year with an appropriate celebration. Invite your besties over, cozy up in comfortable loungewear, make some cocktails or pop up a bottle of champagne, stock up some treats both sweets and savory and watch some girl’s (aka chick flick) movies.

Την τελευταία, μέσω της οποίας ερωτεύτηκα την Τοσκάνη και θέλω να πάω, δεν την ξέρει ποτέ κανείς όπου και να την αναφέρω! Με ξάφνιασες! Συμφωνώ σχεδόν με όλες και όσες δεν ξέρω θα ψάξω να τις δω!
Πραγματικά πρόκειται για μια υπέροχη ταινία σε ένα μαγευτικό τοπίο. Θα συμφωνήσω ότι δεν την ξέρουν πολλοί αλλά είναι μια καλή ευκαιρία να την δούμε.
